Introduction
This report is submitted by Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights and the Sexual Rights Initiative in advance of Canada’s review during the 87th Pre-Sessional working group of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC), taking place June 1 to 5 2020, during which the List of Issues will be adopted. The report examines violations of articles 14, 19, 24, and 28 of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (ICRC) with respect to ensuring young people have access to accurate, evidence-based comprehensive sexuality education (CSE).
